Mexico Mission Trip 2010 |
A mission trip to Mexico
is being organized for June 23-30, 2010. The cost is $375 plus airfare, with
work project fees raised separately.
Pastor Jack Brown, Olivet Congregational Church in Olivet, MI is again
organizing a group of 30-35 people to serve
at Mision Mazahua in south central Mexico. If you would like additional

Week of Compassion |
It has been more than four years since
the catastrophic tsunami roared through
the Indian Ocean, destroying thousands of lives and entire communities.
Week of Compassion, the relief and development fund of the Christian Church (DOC), along with Church World Service and
other partners, continues to support rebuilding efforts taking
place in Indonesia. WOC and CWS are focusing their efforts on
water and sanitation, economic empowerment, health-nutrition,
HIV/AIDS, school-based programs and "mainstreaming" disaster-
risk reduction. CWS is also planning to target vulnerable and
marginalized groups such as children and the newly disabled.
WOC is grateful for the ongoing support from Disciples of

Marion Cares |
Marion Cares,
the ecumenical ministry with Azure Apartments, has
grown into a dynamic outreach effort touching the lives of
the young people and parents of the Azure Apartments. But
this is only a part of the vision, the beginning of something
great big and wonderful for God. Volunteers are needed in several different areas. Prayerfully consider your involvement in this ministry and contact us for more information. |

We are selling Marion Christian Church Coffee Mugs which feature the Disciples of
Christ logo and the address of our church web site. They are white, ceramic, 11 oz. mugs and they sell for $2. Contact us if you would like to make a purchase. |

MCC Cookbook |
The 2006 Marion Christian Church Cookbooks are available for purchase at church. The cookbooks, a project of our Member Development ministry, sell for $10 each. In addition to containing a wide variety of favorite recipes, the cookbooks contain "helpful hints," "cooking tips," "calorie counter," measurement and equvilancy charts, and lots of other useful information. Information Line |
Our church "information line" is up and running and is available 24 hours a day to anyone who calls the church. The information line will be geared toward newcomers to the community, potential visitors, etc., but will also provide meeting and event information useful to our membership. W.O.W. |
Marion Christian offers a weekly opportunity for members and friends of our church family to come together in fellowship and service while growing in our faith. The purpose of this ministry is to provide opportunities for the development of Christian life skills and multi-age Christian relationship building through bible study, fellowship, witnessing, service recreation, music, and crafts. We meet each Wednesday, beginning in September, starting with dinner at 5:45. Our name for this event is "W.O.W" -- Worshipping on Wednesday! |
