 Greetings! We are happy you have chosen to visit Marion Christian Church here on the web! Here you will find articles and ministry news detailing what's happening in the life of our church. Make yourself home here -- and come visit us in person at 10th St and McGowan Blvd in Marion, Iowa. We worship on Sunday morning with an 8:30 traditional service with hymns, choir, and organ. We have a contemporary worship service at 11:00 with praise songs and a small praise band. Dress is casual. Communion is served at both services every Sunday. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:45, following a brief coffee fellowship time. Articles about Sunday school can be found on Page 3. 
Our facility is handicapped accessible and our nursery is staffed with paid nursery attendants. A Mapquest Map can be found on page five of this main articles section. "Spirit: Past, Present, & Future"... Coming August 29, 2009 with 48 invigorating workshops - Register early to guarantee your choices. School for Congregational Learning (SCL) is an annual event for everyone. Located at Valley Southwoods High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, Disciples gather together from all over the four-state Region for learning, inspiration, and connecting with other congregations. The $30 registration fee (same as previous years!) provides you with inspiring worship, an intuitive keynote speaker (Dr. Dick Hamm, former General Minister), two personal choices from 48 workshops, continental breakfast, a yummy lunch, free childcare, and fun! Organize a group from your congregation and celebrate as Disciples Together for the glorious day! There is also a kick-off picnic on Friday evening, August 28. Annual Planning Event

All are invited to brainstorm ideas and to begin to develop program plans for 2010 at Marion Christian Church. This is an opportunity to participate in MCC's second Annual Planning Event that aligns with Marion Christian Church's Vision of Upreach! Inreach! and Outreach! This continues the process of Visioning, utilizing information from the Prayer Triplet process, guided by MCC's Core Values, and continuing to "live the vision" that God has for Marion Christian Church. A light lunch will be provided. A sign-up sheet will be at Information Central.
Be sure to put Saturday, August 15th on your calendar and plan to join others at church, 9AM to 3PM, in developing program plans for next year.
